Maven Land Based Game Rod - reviewed by Fishing in Godzone

When we launched the LBG Coast, we wanted a land-based game rod that was light, powerful and good to cast all day. In the January/February 2018 issue of Fishing in Godzone, Mathew Hewetson took the 18-24kg model out to see how it performed.
He fished it from a North Island surf beach with a baited rig, then took it onto the rocks to cast heavy stickbaits. His main impressions were how light the rod feels in the hand, how well balanced it is, and that the blank has enough backbone for long casts without being stiff in the tip. He also noted the beautiful Maven finish and components.
